CIRCLEVILLE, OH - A heartbreaking loss to Midway University on Friday evening was highlighted by
Madison Blickenstaff's season-high 20 kills, which broke the school record since being in the NAIA of career kills with 774. The previous record was held by Megan Morrison with 770.
The Trailblazers battled with the Eagles in the five-set thriller, taking the loss by scores of 25-23, 24-26, 22-25, 26-24, 15-17. They move to 10-15 and 5-8 in conference play with the loss.
Blickenstaff's 20 kills on a .230 hitting percentage led the way for the Trailblazer offense. She also contributed four blocks and seven digs.
Alexa Mader had nine kills and five blocks while
Brittlyn Call came up with eight kills and four blocks.
Defensively,
Sophie Coleman had a massive 32 digs and two service aces.
Rylee Barr had a double-double with 22 assists and 12 digs.
Allison Thompson contributed 19 assists.
The Trailblazers have a quick turnaround when they travel to Indiana University Southeast tomorrow, October 21st at 12 p.m.
